Terracycle Waste Streams
Terracycle offer a range of free recycling programmes funded by manufacturers and retailers around the world for hard to recycle plastics. They then upcycle or recycle the waste instead of incinerating or sending to landfill.
As they are a non-profit organisation they donate money for the amount of waste you send in to different charities. The waste collected in Bollington's Terracycle units will go to a lady in Macclesfield who collects for various charities.

Bollington's Terracycle collection units are funded by the Transition Network via The National Lottery.
Where are Bollington's Terracycle collection units? They are at Bollington's primary schools - St John's, Dean Valley and Bollington Cross and Bollington Pre-School on Water Street.
What can I put in the Terracycle collection unit? The waste streams accepted are detailed below.
To speed up the sorting of the waste please ensure there are no crumbs, items are not balled up and are separated into the different waste streams below by using bread bags, rubber bands etc.
Also accepted through other schemes are used stamps, foreign coins and printer cartridges.
